* Organic Fair Trade Raw Cocoa Butter: Filled with polyphenols, phytosterols, and Vitamin E.
* Fair Trade Raw Cupuacu Butter: Also known as vegan lanolin, this butter is related to cocoa butter, yet lighter in feel and a humectant that attracts water to the skin.
* Organic Fair Trade Raw Shea Butter: Increases moisture in the skin and is packed with antioxidants and nutrients that add anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties to the formula.

What is a Body Butter?
“Body butter” is a term used to define a body product that is thicker than a cream lending to a butter-like consistency and/or a body cream that uses high amounts of plant butters in the formula.
How to use body butter
Patch test for allergies on the inner arm. If any irritation occurs, please discontinue use and contact your doctor. Do not apply to irritated or compromised scalp or skin, such as over a wound.
For best results, apply to damp skin. This helps trap water in the skin, as body butters form layers of protection that trap water and prevent trans-epidermal water loss (water that evaporates from the skin). Damp skin also allows for a smoother application with less product required, saving you money!
Storage
My body butters are emulsified which dramatically decreases the chance of the product melting, however direct sunlight coming through a window and hot cars in summer are still forces to be reckoned with. For the best results, store in an area that does not reach above 75 FÂ (25 C) and is safe from direct sunlight.
Important notes on refills:

Refills are sent in a biodegradable film pastry bag. The refill can sit in the bag for no longer than 10 days. After 10 days, the bag may begin to deteriorate from the water and water-soluble ingredients in the body butter. If you live far away, you will need to choose a shipping method that says that the refill will arrive to you within 5 days. This is to allow for any shipping delays that may happen.

Every refill order will have directions emailed to the purchaser that will explain the best way to safely and cleanly fill your original packaging with the refill, as well as how to dispose of the biodegradable bag properly to ensure it decomposes and does not end up in a landfill.

For best results, please ensure you have an alcohol solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol, as well as distilled water, a face mask, and gloves that can be used to sanitize, remove tap water and soap remains, and avoid bacteria from being added to the refill during the process of refilling the original jar.

Before refill arrives (wearing mask and gloves): It is recommended to wipe clean the jar lid and glass base. The glass portion of the jar should be washed in the dishwasher on the “sanitize” setting or placed in boiled water for 20 minutes. Allow to cool, then rinse with distilled water and spray or wipe with 70% alcohol solution inside and outside of the jar and lid. Set aside and wait for the refill to arrive.

After refill arrives (wearing mask and gloves): Place refill, unopened, on a clean non-porous surface. Wet a towel with 70% alcohol solution. Next, you will need a pair of scissors or a cutting blade of some kind, sanitized with 70% alcohol solution. Keep bag on cleaned surface. Wipe down the outside of the biodegradable bag, and cut no more than 1″ up from the tip, perpendicular to the bag. Carefully pick up the bag while holding the large base in one hand and holding closed the opened tip. Place the opened tip inside the cleaned jar. Squeeze from the top of the bag and carefully fill the jar, slowly pulling up as it fills. Next, cut the bag open on the seam & parallel to the bag, take out any amount of product left, and place the biodegradable bag in your food compost. This bag, if properly composted, will fully degrade in 3 to 6 months.
